VersaLogic Corporation - Compliance with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive

VersaLogic Corporation is committed to supporting customers with high-quality products meeting the European Union’s RoHS directive. The European Union set July 1, 2006 as the effective date for this directive to apply to most electronic assemblies.

The RoHS directive has dramatically impacted the embedded computer industry with considerable supply chain issues. In order to comply with the RoHS directive and support the European initiative, VersaLogic has significantly revised its new product design practices, receiving and inventory procedures, manufacturing processes, component selection criteria, purchasing processes and design verification requirements. As a result, many VersaLogic products are RoHS-compliant and currently available from stock.

During the transition to RoHS-compliant parts, both RoHS and non-RoHS components may be in short supply. Most of VersaLogic's non-compliant products will continue to be manufactured until they reach their expected end of life. Selected products may be converted to RoHS-compliant versions prior to this time based on the availability of components for the particular design.

Embedded computer users should rest assured that VersaLogic's industry-leading quality, off-the-shelf availability and exceptional customer service will be extended to a considerable range of RoHS-compliant products as new designs are released.
