Supply Chain Manager

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for understanding and supporting the needs of the organization with respect to the components and services needed for on-going manufacturing. This includes developing and executing supply chain strategies to support VersaLogic’s business objectives. This is a key role that requires both department management skills, and direct interface with major suppliers.

Job Duties include:

  • Develop and maintain win-win relationships with VersaLogic suppliers
  • Maintain strong relationships, and become a valued partner, with critical suppliers
  • Locate, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers as needed
  • Mentor and manage the Supply Chain Department staff
  • Maintain integrity and professionalism in all supplier relationships
  • Manage electronic component purchasing, turnkey manufacturing partnerships, and other manufacturing-related supplier relationships
  • Monitor and measure supplier performance, and be transparent with our partners regarding the results
  • Develop and implement inventory strategies to meet short and long term organizational goals
  • Assess future supply chain risks and create plans to mitigate them
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or Engineering equivalent.  Master’s degree preferred
  • 5 years of supply chain, logistics, or business operations experience
  • Experience in semiconductor or high-tech industry preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on team building
  • Able to lead and influence technically strong employees and suppliers
  • Demonstrated success solving complex problems with practical solutions
  • Experience executing Lean Manufacturing

Electronic Debug Technician

VersaLogic Corp. has an immediate opening Electronic Debug Technician to support VersaLogic’s Production department by debugging and repairing complex printed circuit board assemblies (single board computers).

Job Duties include:

  • Conduct tests and debug failed products using various debug techniques and instrumentation
  • Perform limited repair of products to verify a failure
  • Document the testing and debug steps used for each product per defined process templates
  • Maintain punctual, regular and predictable attendance
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment

Education and Experience:

  • AA Degree in Electronics or equivalent education and experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical environment designing and/or debugging complex SBC products

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • High level understanding of x86 architecture
  • Proficient in the use of oscilloscopes, multi-meters, and other electronic equipment
  • Proficient in measurement techniques associated with high-speed interfaces
  • Ability to solve complex problems and recommend solutions
  • Understanding of signal measurement techniques
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)

Electronic Production Technician

VersaLogic has an immediate opening for a full-time Electronic Production Technician responsible for inspecting, configuring, converting, testing and repairing PCBAs as detailed below.

Job Duties include:

  • Visually inspect PCBAs and accessories
  • Test, configure and convert PCBAs
  • Repair PCBA failures
  • Perform and analyze x-ray and microscopic images of PCBAs

Education and Experience:

  • High school or equivalent
  • IPC-610 certification preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience inspecting and soldering BGA, surface mount, through-hole, and fine pitch components

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of IPC-610 Standards
  • Knowledge of ESD practices
  • Passing VersaLogic’s soldering test with a score of 80% or higher
  • Experience with SMT rework tools & equipment
  • Use of microscope and other inspection tools
  • Ability to read and understand internal documents
  • Ability to use MS Office Suites (Word, Excel, etc.)

Computer Technical Support Specialist

VersaLogic Corporation is seeking a motivated Customer Support Specialist to replicate, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with our board level computer products. This position is primarily an on-site position in Tualatin, Oregon.

Job Duties include:

  • Be the primary contact for inbound support calls from customers and distribution partners
  • Troubleshoot and support application-related OS issues, product firmware issues, and customer related hardware issues
  • Work with internal resources to debug, develop, escalate, document, and communicate solutions to customer within the committed turnaround time

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering; or equivalent education + experience
  • 1 – 5 years troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Familiarity with electronics manufacturing processes
  • Experience in customer relationship management, technical support, and/or
    customer service

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Proven aptitude for maintaining a customer-centric perspective while troubleshooting and/or analyzing user issues
  • Knowledge of x86 based PC hardware systems, including, ISA bus, PCI bus, and USB
  • Understanding of operating systems and their development environments such as Windows and Linux
  • Familiarity with programming languages; C, Python and Linux shell scripting
  • Familiarity with lab test equipment; Oscilloscope, Multi-Meter, Programmable Power Supplies, etc.
  • High degree of MS applications experience (MS Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stay organized, focused, have a strong attention to detail and multi-tasking
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
