Process Control Specialist

The Process Control Specialist is responsible for the documentation, training, and control of production processes. This position implements procedures and makes recommendations for improvements in methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.

Job Duties include:

  • Create, maintain, and improve documentation for production-related processes
  • Interface with other departments, as required, to maintain process quality
  • Control and manage production-related documentation such as routers, work instructions, and BOMs
  • Improve work flows and floorplans to maximize efficiencies in production activities
  • Ensure processes and practices comply with policies for ESD, MSD, hazardous substances, etc.

Education and Experience:
Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field
  • Similar position with other organizations
  • Electronics-related work history
  • Documentation management and writing/editing skills
  • Ability to develop and document process improvements

Preferred:

  • Understanding and experience of WIP routing and associated transactions
  • Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or related disciplines
  • Training experience

Production Manager

The Production Manager is responsible for ensuring that in-house inspection and assembly processes operate with optimal reliability and efficiency. A significant part of this role requires a strong collaborative approach with other departments, focusing on unified strategies, plans, and processes to guarantee the best quality, cost-efficiency, and delivery timelines.

Job Duties include:

  • Provide overall Production leadership and management including yearly business planning/budgeting, staffing, and establishment of projects and initiatives to achieve business objectives
  • Develop departmental capabilities in support of strategic company goals
  • Ensure proper training is delivered to production employees and assess learning effectiveness
  • Implement and monitor production safety and environmental policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure a safe working environment for all employees along with regulatory and environmental compliance
  • Work closely with Supply Chain and Shipping/Receiving to ensure efficient flow of builds through the production floor
  • Ensure production goals are met to support customer and company targets for on time delivery and quality
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and employee involvement based on Lean business practices and effective problem solving
  • Establish improvement goals and objectives along with key performance indicators
  • Foster and drive a positive, customer focused culture

Education and Experience:
Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Production Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Proficiency in production scheduling and quality management
  • Deep understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies

Preferred:

  • Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or related disciplines
  • Previous experience in electronics manufacturing

Supply Chain Manager

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for understanding and supporting the entirety of the demand fulfillment function of the business. They own developing, maintaining, and managing VersaLogic’s partnerships with suppliers and leads the effort to implement strategies and processes across the entire Supply Chain function to support VersaLogic’s Turn-key EMS manufacturing objectives. This role requires both department management skills, and the ability to directly interface and negotiate with external partners.

Job Duties include:

  • Develop and maintain strong win-win relationships with VersaLogic suppliers (EMS, component, supplies, and other services)
  • Effectively negotiate terms for product and component costs along with monitoring supplier performance using appropriate metrics
  • Locate, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers as needed
  • Control inventory levels located at VersaLogic and at supplier locations, to appropriate targets
  • Mentor and manage the Supply Chain Department staff
  • Ensure that internal customers are provided with necessary information regarding product costs, availability and delivery information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Establish and manage to critical process indicators (CPI’s)
  • Assess future supply chain risks and create detailed plans to mitigate

Education, Skills, and Experience:
Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or Engineering equivalent
  • 5 years of supply chain, logistics, or business operations experience
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on team building
  • Able to lead and influence technically strong employees and suppliers
  • Demonstrated success solving complex problems with practical solutions
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience in managing turn-key EMS relationships
  • Experience in semiconductor or high-tech industry
