Electronic Material Handler

The Material Handler plays a pivotal role in VersaLogic’s electronics manufacturing process by efficiently managing all aspects of the electronic components inventory. Responsibilities include receiving, storing, issuing materials to the production line, inventory control, data management, and quality inspection.

Job Duties include:

  • Accurately maintain and manage the electronic component inventory. Ensure that materials are systematically organized and readily available for the production line, reducing equipment downtime. Conduct routine cycle counts and physical inventories for accuracy, ensuring discrepancies are promptly investigated and resolved.
  • Safely and efficiently transport materials to designated storage areas or production areas. This includes receiving, storing, issuing, and returning components to the production line as dictated by the manufacturing schedule.
  • Diligently update and maintain the electronic inventory system, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded. Use this data to track material consumption, identify trends, and anticipate future material requirements, preventing stockouts and overstock situations.
  • Quality Control: Inspect incoming materials for conformity to specifications and quality standards. Identify and report any non-compliant materials, facilitating their prompt return or disposal.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
  • A minimum of 1 years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably with electronic components.
  • Familiarity with electronic components, including an understanding of their storage and handling requirements.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic computer applications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items, up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures for handling and storing materials, including hazardous materials.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

SMT Operator – Level 3

The SMT Operator Level 3 is a key leader in VersaLogic’s SMT operation. This senior role involves the operation of complex SMT machinery as well as driving the production schedules, developing process improvements, and mentoring junior operators. Cross-functional collaboration skills are crucial while working with various teams for product development and process refinement. This role is ideal for a seasoned SMT professional looking to make a significant impact on an organization’s success.

Job Duties include:

  • Operate and maintain highly complex SMT machinery such as high-speed chip shooters, flexible placement machines, advanced AOI, and X-ray inspection systems.
  • Assist with the coordination of the production schedule, ensuring the optimization of machinery and resources for timely completion of orders.
  • Develop, validate, and optimize process parameters for new product introductions and existing products.
  • Mentor, supervise, and train Level 1 and 2 operators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Sustaining) on product development, process refinement, and problem resolution.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in SMT operation.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a history of successful team management.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting complex technical documentation, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma concepts.
  • Detail-oriented, highly accurate, and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25 pounds), crouch, bend, walk and stand for long periods

Network & Systems Administrator

VersaLogic’s Network & Systems Administrator is responsible for ensuring the organization’s servers and network operations are trouble-free and continuously maintained in order to meet the needs or the growing organization. The Network & Systems Administrator also oversees the desktop environment, phone system, and other on-premises or hosted IS services, while also being the primary point of contact for the IS helpdesk.

Job Duties include:

  • Ensure uptime and uninterrupted business hours operation for production systems and networks.
  • Manage the installation, maintenance, and administration of virtual and physical servers, applications, desktop hardware and software, network infrastructure and printers Create and maintain backup, recovery, and contingency plans for production systems and networks.
  • Create and maintain backup, recovery, and contingency plans for production systems and networks.
  • Create and maintain system documentation for such items as asset inventory, system configurations, software licensing, and other IS related items.
  • Periodic on-call, after-hours, and weekend work.
  • Maintain punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.

Education and Experience:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Four or more years of experience in an equivalent position
  • Direct experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems, Active Directory, Exchange Server, Office Applications, Azure AD, VMware vSphere, SQL Server and network switches and firewalls
  • Extensive experience installing and maintaining servers and networking; to include backups, restores, and disaster recovery

Preferred

  • Microsoft Certification(s)
  • Familiarity with Veeam Backup & Replication, Ubiquiti switches, Sophos XGS firewalls, ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus and EventLog Analyzer
  • Experience with project planning

HR/Payroll Specialist

VersaLogic’s HR/Payroll Specialist is responsible for leading the day-to-day activities related to Payroll and assisting the Human Resource Manager with HR related tasks.

Job Duties include:

  • Processing and transmittal of bi-weekly payroll
  • Assisting Finance with benefits administration and reconciliation of benefit accounts
  • Assisting Human Resources with on-boarding, employee training, and proper record retention of all payroll related data
  • Assisting with compliance audits, ensuring accurate and timely deliverables

Education and Experience:

Required

  • 3+ years of Payroll processing Experience
  • Knowledge of payroll, payroll taxes and garnishments
  • Experience in benefit administration
  • Microsoft Excel knowledge

Preferred

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience with a third party payroll service

Electronic Production Technician

The Production Technician is responsible for inspecting, configuring, converting, testing and repairing PCBAs as detailed below.

Job Duties include:

  • Visually inspect PCBAs and accessories
  • Test, configure and convert PCBAs
  • Repair PCBA failures
  • Perform and analyze x-ray and microscopic images of PCBAs

Education and Experience:

  • High school or equivalent
  • IPC-610 certification preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience inspecting and soldering BGA, surface mount, through-hole, and fine pitch components
  • ERSA experience preferred

Skills

  • Knowledge of IPC-610 Standards
  • Knowledge of ESD practices
  • Passing VersaLogic’s soldering test with a score of 80% or higher
  • Experience with SMT rework tools & equipment
  • Use of microscope and other inspection tools
  • Ability to read and understand internal documents
  • Ability to use MS Office Suites (Word, Excel, etc.)
