Purchasing Administrator/Buyer

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end purchasing process for assigned materials. This includes researching suppliers, assessing requirements and specifications, placing orders, and monitoring orders for delivery.
  • Work with our Electronic Manufacturing Service (EMS) providers to process raw material sales orders
  • Facilitate and maintain compliance-related programs (RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals and Export Control)
  • Ensure Quality Management Systems (QMS) activities such as Product Change Notification / End of Life (PCN/EOL) and Approved Supplier List (ASL) review are completed following process requirements
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and assist in the development and implementation of purchasing policies and procedures
  • Maintain punctual, regular and predictable attendance
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or administrative support (can include internships or co-op experience)
  • Experience using ERP systems for purchasing and inventory management

Preferred:

  • Understanding of the purchasing process and supplier relationship management
  • Experience working with or supporting Electronic Manufacturing Service (EMS) providers
  • Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Familiarity with electronic components
  • Familiarity with compliance standards such as RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals and Export Control
  • Exposure to quality management certifications such as ISO9001 or AS9100
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Engineering Program Manager

This position plays a critical role in overseeing the successful execution of engineering projects and initiatives. The Engineering Program Manager (EPM) acts as the central point of coordination and communication between cross-functional teams ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards. This role requires technical program ownership along with project management capabilities.

This situation also offers the opportunity to create / revamp / implement world class NPI processes for a growing hardware design team.

Job Duties include:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Manage the allocation and utilization of engineering resources, including personnel and equipment
  • Facilitate regular status meetings and provide progress updates
  • Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies that could impact project delivery
  • Coordinate activities of various teams, including design, development, testing and deployment
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training to perform their tasks effectively
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or related field
  • Significant experience in electronic project management in processor-based PCBA development environment
  • Strong understanding of hardware development life cycles, engineering best practices, and project management methodologies
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • 5+ years of experience in an electronics design and manufacturing environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies
