Press Office, VersaLogic Corporation, 03/09/26

Tualatin, OR – March 9, 2026 – VersaLogic Corporation, the industry’s most trusted embedded computer company, today announced a change in leadership. Len Crane, President and Founder of VersaLogic Corp., is stepping down from his role as President. Taking over operational management, with a promotion to President, is Chris Miller. Mr. Miller has been with VersaLogic for over 19 years in a variety of roles, most recently as Vice President of the organization.

This shift in leadership comes as VersaLogic marks its 50th year of innovation and service to the embedded computing industry.

Leadership Transition

Crane will leave behind his day-to-day management responsibilities, but will remain active at the Board level contributing to the strategic direction of the company. Gary Harris, who is stepping down from his role as VersaLogic’s Director of Technology, will remain with Crane on the Board of Directors to help guide the company.

Miller brings more than 19 years of experience at VersaLogic to his new role as President. During his tenure he has contributed across multiple areas of the business and has been instrumental in guiding the company’s continued focus on compact, rugged embedded computing solutions.

“VersaLogic’s strength has always been its people, its engineering discipline, and its commitment to customers,” said Miller. “I am honored to build on the foundation that Len and Gary established, and to continue serving the embedded computing industry with the same focus on quality, innovation, and long-term support.”

Celebrating 50 Years

Under Crane’s leadership, VersaLogic has grown from its early days in STD Bus computing to become a recognized innovator in rugged, long-life embedded systems. The company has been a leader in small form factor computing, particularly within the PC104 ecosystem. Crane played a key role in advancing open standards, including leadership within the RMS Consortium (formerly the PC104 Consortium), helping shape compact, modular computing platforms that serve critical applications worldwide.

“It is gratifying to work in an industry where your competitors are also your allies and your friends, all focused on moving the industry forward,” said Crane.

Throughout five decades, the company has consistently evolved its platforms to meet the demands of defense, aerospace, medical, and industrial markets. From early bus-based systems to today’s high-performance stackable embedded boards, Crane championed a design philosophy centered on reliability, longevity, and real-world requirements.

VersaLogic’s commitment to quality and customer service under his leadership has been recognized with multiple awards and distinctions from industry groups and publications. VersaLogic was notably recognized by VDC Research with its Platinum Vendor award for five years running, reflecting the company’s long-standing focus on delivering the highest quality products backed by excellent service.

“Len’s impact on the embedded computing industry extends far beyond VersaLogic,” said Miller. “His commitment to engineering excellence, long-lifecycle product strategies, and industry collaboration has helped define the standards that our customers rely on today.”
